2, How are lanyards produced in our factory?
As one of the world's biggest lanyard suppliers, we have advanced lanyard production lines and skilled workers. We can finish thousands of lanyards(for printed style only) within one single day. Thus we can guarantee our customers receive high quality custom lanyards in a very short period of time.
We provide screen printed polyester lanyards, screen printed tube lanyards, screen printed nylon lanyards, heat transferred lanyards and woven lanyards. We are showing you some pictures here so you can get an idea of how the lanyards are produced in our factory.
The production of screen printed lanyards:
1. Firstly the workers make a mold according to the proof after the factory receives the lanyard order.
2. After the mold is finished, the workers spread the blank lanyards on the platform of the machine and print the message onto the blank lanyards with mold. For polyester lanyards and tube lanyards, we have 13 stock colors: black, white, red, orange, yellow, dark green, light green, royal blue, navy blue, burgundy, purple, teal and gray. For nylon lanyards, the stock colors are less as 9 colors: black, white, orange, red, burgundy, gray, yellow, dark green, blue. When the customer wants non stock colors, we need to dye the lanyards with custom color first. That’s why lanyards in custom color needs more time to produce than stock colors.
3. After the printing finished, the workers remove the lanyards from the machine platform and hang them to dry the printing. After that, the workers cut the strap into separate lanyards.
4. After the strap is cut into separate lanyards, the workers sew the attachments to the lanyards. Our attachments include bulldog clip, swivel hook, split ring, key clip/lobster claw, oval hook, key grip, pinchcock clip, plastic buckle, safety breakaway, phone hoop, badge reels, badge holders & etc. The customers can choose any attachment they like for their lanyards.
5. The lanyards are packed and shipped out via UPS, FedEx, TNT or DHL when ready. Normally 50pcs or 100pcs are packed in each plastic bag. We also provide individual packing and custom packing when the customer has special instructions.
The production of heat transferred lanyards:
1. Compared with screen printed lanyards, heat transferred lanyards are printed in a different way. After the factory receives the heat transferred lanyard order, the workers print the artwork to a great amount of paper.
2. Then the lanyard machine transfers the artwork on the paper onto the white blank lanyards with heat.
3. After the lanyards are printed, the following steps are the same as polyester lanyards. The strap are cut into separate lanyards and the attachment(s) are sewed onto the lanyards. Then they are packed and shipped out via UPS, FedEx, TNT or DHL.
The production of woven lanyards:
1. Unlike printed lanyards, the logo or text is woven onto the lanyards without any additional printing. So the woven lanyards are tougher and will last longer for years to come, while the design can not be that intricate and best with simpler logos. Firstly the workers set up the threads onto the woven machine according to the vectored proof, and they need to adjust the threads/yarns positioning and divide the bunches before the machine moving.
2. The woven machine embroiders the logos onto the lanyards, and actually combines all the threads in different colors(normally 2 colors at most) into straps. This process is much complicated than the printing technique, that’s why it takes much longer to finish woven lanyards than printed ones, and woven lanyards can NOT be rushed.
3. After the lanyards are woven out, the following steps are the same as printed lanyards. The strap are cut into separate lanyards and the attachment(s) are sewed onto the lanyards. Then they are packed and shipped out via UPS, FedEx, TNT or DHL.
